Mady's not the only one who made it....
The fistful of Pirates that made the trip to Bad Goisern obviously rode with the knife between their teeth...
as you can imagine, I didn't really feel like getting up at 5am just to take a picture of Mady at the starting line. I did get up to see the rest of the gang off...

Captain Ubi-Blutsventje (who seemed kind of listless that day!?!?) is right at the front of the mob,

followed by "His Bloodthirstiness", Armin, in the 34m/55km race.

and last but not least our on board photographer "Captain Eichholz" in the 15.5m/25km race....

Here, Ubi congatulates our Belgian generalissimo Sam Baeten for his surprising victory (age division) in the 62m/100km race.

As you can see Sam gave it his ALL and Papa Baeten came all this way for support.

So you can see that the applause was not exclusively for Armin Groß, who came in in 1st place of his age division on the 34m/55km round...

but of course there was also some left for Sam and Mady (as previously mentioned), who were in the spotlight here too.

All in all, the results were pretty respectable for a fistful of Pirates that had made their way there in order to have fun.
Our goal for next year is to top these results.....
