Hola, hola,

after a start into the biking season that was so-so, due to the weather, we took our bikes on an Easter Bunny hunt on April 15th! ... first, a four hour long martyrdaom had to be absolved, in the form of a ride technique course. 5 people, who were undaunted by death made their way there. Some of them had been there before (record for Ralph: 4x, Gabi: 2x) and with "Forest Master" Tanja Wittig an XC racer was among the group. Unfortunately, two people had to move their appointments to the next time... that was the starting formation.

The 2nd part took place on the "bike playground", the little quarry. Turns by the slope, braking delicately on the way down the slope, root passages, steps... everything your heart desired and where the chain ring didn't hit the ground was driven upon! Among other things there was a 26.3in/60cm high step, which Andreas worked on with his 5.5in/140mm freerider. After his first experience with his 5.5in/140mm reaching the block when his center of gravity was located too far to the front and what the landing looks like afterwards, the ride continued on quickly and easy-peasy.

Like always, every participant was pushed to his/her individual limit, be it on murderously high steps or short but tricky "singletrail-narrow-pass-justholdontothehandlebars-descents".

Since it also happened to be Easter, the participants were sent on a bunny search after the course... the quarry can be pretty big, when there are 5 4in/10cm Easter Bunnies hidden in it... no, I wasn't that mean. All of the long-ears were found quickly and were massacred by the evening. Speculations about whether or not some puppies that had been playing around in the area had sniffed (or possibly done other things) at them, were defused.

Of course the next course has also been determined: we continue on May 25th! ...since the resonance has been very positive up to this point, we have been thinking about adding another date on May 27th! Also, two Hai test bikes are being worked on, which will be made available for the course in the future. Be it for participants, whose mountainbikes are designed more for tours, have a defect or are merely intersted in a fun bike... there will be more information about the bikes shortly. All the information about the course can be found, as always on the website www.bikeactivities.de.

Hasta luego,

Björn
