The time has finally come , it was talked about and planned at length. The preparations for the Pirate Skydive Weekend are all wrapped up. From the 12th to the 14th of May the Pirates will enter the majestic air over Plettenberg.

The Agenda: Thursday, May 11th arrival in Plettenberg/Küntrop (latest possible arrival is Friday May 12th,, 10am)
Friday May 12th, 10am beginning of the theory course: material science, behavior in special circumstances, procedure in emergencies, flight and landing briefing. The course will be given by Pirate "Cue Ball" and his team. You are in good hands. Pirate "Cue Ball" has about 2000 jumps under his belt and has only needed to use his emergency chute three times... ;-) In the evening a comfortable get together, while we feast on the hangman's meal (barbecue).
Saturday May 13th, beginning at 10am, practical training, including landing drop exercises, free fall positioning, exit exercises, etc. In the afternoon the first jump will take place. Three Pirates and one instructor will go into the air in a Cessna, Pirate "Cue Ball" will jump too and capture the events with his helmet camera. In the evening there will be a skydive party on the flight compound (for the folks that didn't chicken out…).
Sunday May 14th, sleep in, departure. If the weather isn't good enough for the jumps on Saturday, we jump on Sunday.

The fist jump will be an automatic jump, which means that the chute will open automatically after the exit. We will still be able to experience the sensation of the free fall for a brief time….
The Accommodations are directly at the airport compound. They are double beds. Nevertheless, sleeping bags and possibly sleeping pads must be brought. Whoever wants to can bring a tent, their trailer or RV, since there are camping grounds attached to the compound.
If you still want to stay at a hotel, we suggest the Henblas, www.henblas.de (about 10min. from the airfield.
Food: We will be making breakfast ourselves. For lunched we plan to eat at the airfield restaurant. In the evenings we will barbecue.We're going to divide the cost of all participants for the breakfast, barbecuing and drinks.
Costs: The costs are € 180,- per person (special Pirate rate).This includes everything: course fee, equipment, 1st flight, lodging, insurance, etc.
Only food and drinks will need to be added.
For those who didn't crap their pants on the first jump, a second jump will be possible, if the time allows. It would cost an additional € 50,-.
For those who don't want to jump alone and want to spare themselves the instruction, a tandem jump is offered for € 180,- .
The course fee should be should be remitted as soon as possible, to Captain Ron's account.

Definitely download the PDF file. It is the form for the fitness examination for parachutists.
You need to take this form to your doctor and bring it with you, signed, on the weekend.
You will not be able to jump without the signature or the examination!
Please also bring appropriate footwear. If you have them, shoes that go over your ankle would be advantageous.
