Salzburg

Sunday, 05.05.2013, it was time again, after a DNF in Salzburg at the 28.04.2013, because of a flat tyre. We were being welcomed by a heavy rain fall only 10min before the start, while we had about 12degrees, which made the road all slippery. Luckily the rain didn´t last very long. Right in the heart of Austria, in the Steiermark, it´s really fun to ride, because of the hard ascents with up to 16%. But they´re not that long, but at least long enough to let go of the groups and to loose contact to the front group, like me… It made a large gap, which I wasn´t able to close again… After all, it costs me about 8min and later I finished with a time of 1:56h for 63km, it was the 15th place in my AG 40+ Conclusion, it was a wonderful weekend and as a reward I will ride a MTB-marathon next weekend.
