the Swabian Pirates
Kai (the one with the short hair)
- lives in Göppingen, at the edge of the Swabian Alp
- he shuffles his jobs to make more time for biking
- there isn't much time for hobbies outside of biking
- he rides about 6215-9320m/10000-15000km a year, to show
off the Pirate gear
- he is planning to ride in these marathons: in April, the
middle distance in Müsingen on the Swabian Alp; in May, Kirchen
Hausen, near Freiburg; and in Juli, the long distance (2500
starters) in Albstadt and the Transalp-Challenge from Füssen
to Lake Garda.
Andreas (the one with the growth on his head)
- I live in Esslingen, near Stuttgart
- I also juggle things around to make time for biking
- my annual output is about 9320m/15000km as well, despite
being 9 years Kai's senior
- the marathon schedule is similar to Kai's, except for Müsingen
in April
- I rode the Transalp-Challenge in 2006 and finished in Limone,
after 59h
- I relax with the help of my cute girlfriend Alex and loud
music
General information: in August 2007, Kai and I rode the Trans-Black-Forest
in Pirate gear for the first time and tested it in every capacity.
Congratulations! The cycling pants are awesome, especially
the seat cushions. No chafing, absolutely recommendable, especially
for frequent riders and for a reasonable price. We are currently
testing the long-sleeved shirts in the cold weather. A layer
or two underneath makes it warm, cuddly, very comfortable
and we needn't even mention the coolness-factor.
The Swabian Pirates!
