I was also present at the D-Cup final in Vechta on December 30, 2007. After not being able to train for over a week, due to a cold, my self-confidence wasn't exactly high. I basically slept through the start and ended up riding up the hill with 79 others.

When I found myself way in the back, I tried putting a little more pressure on the pedals.

Unfortunately, I discovered that after half an hour, I had lost the ability to breathe.

I guess the body is not a machine. I ended up in 58th place. I was still in a good mood, since the race was a great event and the track was awesome.
