Hannover....

Soon after we arrived and we went to recieve our starting package on the day before the start, Kristian ( Schoki) Schoknecht had some problems. Even that he already registered for this race very early, the organizer weren´t able to find him on their documents. There were no sight of him, so getting registered again and that means, that he had to start from the last starting block. He was really peeved about it, but it fits him. So, Schoki from block F, myself Stefan Rings and Monika Reker from block D. Well, the firt goal for Schoki was now, to close the gap of 6min to us and it wasn´t an easy way, because of the winds. For myself, I had a really bad start and so, after only 2km the group of Pirates were separated. I wasn´t able to hold the speed from the beginning on the 30km round, all around the Deister of overall 120km. I had to catch my breath, got heavy legs and was really close to give up the race, because the race in Berlin were really tough in the week before, were no one really recovered from. But after 55km I was able to close up with Monika Reker and Stefan Rings again and finally it went better for me.
Today I rode my spare bike, because I broke my frame during the race in Berlin. During the race I often made ride or shifting mistakes, that costs a lot of time and power, so I slowly made my way to the end of the field. Schoki was all alone but without any cramps, he had to ride for more than 70km for his own,it was just like a time-trial for him and so he was able to close the gap of 6min to Stefan Rings.
