Street run in Bertlich, a 5k run.

Last sunday we used the 3rd run of the Herten-Bertlich run series 2010 as a fitness test after 5 weeks of break for the triathlon season of 2011. So, we did the 5km run just for testing. The weather was allright, no rain or snow, but cold and sunshine so the –2degrees were quite comfortable. For the 5km run were about 137participants plus 2 Pirates. While we still talked over the runnings tactics, we were surprised about the starting signal and so we started from all behind. So, we had to start with overtaking the others, and after 500m we split up and everybody ran his or her own speed. We ran cross meadows and fields, where we faced a cold wind, but 5km aren´t that long and so the concert was over before it even started. After the race we enjoyed the cakes, pies and coffee in the well heated gym, and were really surprised when we received our honors. 1st place AG in 24:31 minutes for Maren 3rd place AG in 22:27 minutes for Reiner Greetings and Attack 2011 Reiner&Maren
