Tour de France in Renesse

Christoph, Simone, Gaby and myself travelled to the start of the Tour de France and an easy and relaxed weekend to Rennesse…but this year should be different than everything else…should become… Before we made up our way to Rennesse, Gaby took a quick shower…but than it happened, she stood on her already soapy foot, to soap her other foot, it got a little bit slippery and she fell on her back, on her operated spinal disk, but, wonder,firstly only her foot hurt, because she tried by falling to kick the wall..at first… When we arrived in Rennesse after about 600km, the world was still okay. …everythin okay as well, at the start of the Tour… WOW... there are already some people there, and lots of commercial cars. Later we took abreak at one of the town channels, while we tried to cover under a bridge from the upcoming rain. The time-trial at this point, wasn´t very exciting. But in the evening, everything became clear…no go with her back…While hoping for recovery, Gaby stayed at home and myself went with the other Pirates to a street nearby in the middle of nowhere, but close to Rennesse. Oddly enough, we weren´t the only ones here and more oddly I met there a team mate of us: Jörn Faul, with his family... But firstly the commercial caravan : You could get some nice gifts there as well... but, we didn´t get very much... Hide yourself…will he throw some tyres in the crowd??? ahhh, tasty water... iiiiihhhh not so tasty, a shower..... So, it looked like on both sides… …they just opened a gap for the coming field… That´s all folks…the rest of the time I hold the hand of Gaby, but after a hard journey back the´s whole again… Ron
