What a weekend...

The Pirates were two times successful. For the first part, at the 24h race in Duisburg, we defend our title from the year before with our 8headed female team. And for the second part, Bjørn Henschke won the Hamburg national championship in his age-group, at the Ostseeman ( triathlon). My congratulations!!!   But first, special thanks to our sponsors: ISOSTAR, CONTI, UVEX, SQLAB, TIPTOP, CONNEX and FUSE, for their help and support. Now a small bulletin form Duisburg. Our decent camp, was between trees a 7,5t truck and neighbours...and fixed with Conti-bars and TipTop-spray. I gotta say thank you again to Pitjes from the Plettenberger mixed team to get us this 60m2 large claim. Luckily Stephan attended his Nele, and so his job was now, the bike-mechanic. He fixed shifting gears, changed tyres and brakes, as well like Benita´s brake-bar. Nina, just arrived from a triathlon exercise camp, and rode for the first time a MTb since years, but her split times wasn´t the worst after all.   One of our team-riders, Katharina helped out at the Plettneberger mixed team, who also wanted to reach the podium this year. The nest of the Pirates from Plettenberg was arranged like a hotel, they even got a tent with two refridgerators, deep freezer, coffee machine, a gas-BBQ, microwave, a dryer and not to forget  van with lots of beer, Jägermeister and all you need to BBQ… Our Pirate women team rode like a clockwork... ...you could calculate when the next women would pass...   Stephan and myself, were picture hunters…” Stephan, one small step to the beack, please….” Luckily the girls didn´t have larger problems or breakdowns. Even the changes worked really good this year The day was over and Nina had to leave,what a bummer, but dates, dates,dates, but thank you for your help for our victory. Our catering wasn´t bad after all, Monika brought very delicious cake, gaby bought enough meal voucher ( 120,- €) and in the evening we BBQ.   P.S.: the Nutrixion Gels( left side in the front), we received from the organizer, but no one wanted to have them, because ISOSTAR, is much more tasteful. Sadly, sometimes it was raining… but Heather our help from Utah/USA were always in a good temper…. Gaby always watched the times on her laptop…and also took an eye on her farm at facebook. Hey Pitjes, what´s up ? Hey Heather is already back again...and still smiling Even in the night, we changed right... (Anne/Susi) Well, Stephan and myself also changed, by sleeping. Whew, Benita at the Pirates next Dirty Girl Casting Ute and Nils rode a 2 persons mixed team Nele and Doro while changing… Here again you can see Nils, he is just back from the Allgäu-Orient-rally ( AUDI 100), bulletin will follow soon...   Watch out, the boss is coming, and she didn´t have breakfast yet.   Beni and Moin while changing Nele is trying to get up the mountain...well, aren´t there in front two more chain, than the big one??? Anne  on her way to the last battle Yeaahhh, VICTORY !!!! Benita was our last rider and already got the medal around her neck. The team all cheered and were quiet joyfully… ....and we´re really looking forward to 2012, than we want to defend our title again. Ronald Prinzlau
