Kyffhäuser Mountain race 14.04.2012 and 4th  MTB-Race of the  MTV Förste

First of all I like to say thank you to the Krahmann´s and family for the wonderful support at the Kyffhäuser Mountain Race. The communication was good as well like the service. Everything was good starting with the campsite up to the  starting package, everything was well prepared. Sadly we cannot offer you pictures, because the offivial race photograph was too expensieve. But, Leo was to fast for him and finished on the short distance on the 4th place in his age-group. And how about his “old mule”? He slowly rode the long distance and ended up on the 54th place in his age group and was really satisfied with his time of 3:03h for the 64km. 4th MTB-Race of the MTV Förste at the  21.04.12    For the 4th time, the guys of the MTV Förste made up a MTB-race right thru the wonderful scenery of the protectd landscape of Lichtenstein, While we got wonderful weather conditions, you had to ride a 12km lpond round course with each round 340m of altitude together with 53 participants. I attended together with Leo the mass start, and for the first time on my “ wintertime fully”. Soon after the the start, Leo was already gone and myself still fast as a snail with my fully. Luckily the course had some downhill passages, and so I was able to close the gap between me and Leo, by the way, he rode the short distance, and after the next downhill section I passed him and finally the family was in peace again. Leo ended up on the 2nd place in his age-group and myself on the 17th. Afterwards in the gym hall, everybody received his document. Short appeal, clapping and sit down again. It was a wonderful event, and we think, that this race and event, deserve more riders and participants. Close-Hauled…  André and Leo
