1 % Bad Pirate - 100 % Fun – 1st place P-Way Ultra...

with Bad Bone Bütti, Pitjes and myself, Rainer had to ride his Dötlinger 8 all alone, what a pity, if he would be here aswell, them the 1% Bad Pirate Crew would be participate comeplete here, at the P-Way. Pit organized everything for us, including a luxury holiday flat, near the starting area. Thank you, as well to Heike, it was a wonderful weekend. While we arrived, we had wonderful weather, and soon we met some other Pirates, the running Pirate Dirk and his family, his goal to finish top 10 and he did it, he finished on the 9th place overall. He crossed the finish line with a smile and sai, whew, it´s quite hilly here and Sveny, she was for the 6th time the winner of the female half marathon.. Congratulations... Than we collected Jost at the train station of Plettenberg and went directly to our Pirate camp and also to the P-way and somehow, we just rode to the supply station on the course, Pit lead us. Jost said to him, next time less food and more riding. Yes, Jost did a good job as a guest in the Bad Pirate Crew. ...and if he would eat some more, he would fit into Raini´s clothes... At this point Pit tell Jost and myself some hints about the course for the Ultra-distance and then went to get himself an ice-cream with Heike, Stede and Dirk´s family... In the evening weh ad saurina steak on the BBQ at Heike and Pit, but it was worth eating it, because Jost and myslef, felt like flying the next day, but you don´t grow because of this. Just moments before the start, I remarked that I forgot my small drinking bottle. Better get another one, by having this temperatures around 30degrees and than to ride with only one bottle, no way. Luckily I met Raphaela, she ran to her home and lent me one bottle, thank you. He just stand behind me(5057) and talked, and talked and talked and no one listened When we had breakfast in the morning, Jost was quite nervous, but later, shortly before the start...damn it, stay cool... I wanted to ride faster than last year, where I ended up on the 3rd place, without any particular training, but this year with some special exercises...Pit said it weeks before, Moni, will win the P-way. Yes, are you still dreaming??? After the start, there was only one enemy before me, but I already passed here before the purple cow, oh, she wasn´t there this year, I was sad. Sorry Andre, no picture of two cows this year... Pitjes hints were quite good to classify the race...sanatorium, school...awesome....I had so much fun, everywhere the peolple shouted, the first women on the 88 is a Pirate... Luckily, I hadn´t any time of suffering, it works, after 30km I knew, I would made it and after 60km I was quite sure, nothing gonna stop me now, maybe a flat tyre or a crash, but nothing else… After 70km I slowed a bit to avoid cramps on the last ascents and so I rode with a group of 5 guys until the finish, who fought themselves with cramps and more. Respect, I think I would give after 10 cramps or something... No more supply station and the last but one ascent under the bright hot sun. Last year I thought, that  the last exit to Plettenberg would never come, but this time I thought: what? The exit? So soon? No way, everything was fine until I shortly lost control of my rear wheel on a gravel downhill passage and I had to set my feet on the ground than my bike tipped over and I turnd my foot and damn it, I had a cramp. Awesome, than I wanted to get of him and there he was again.Than I heard noises from uphill, I just shouted, I´m lying here in the curve, don´t ride over me. But at least, I had enough time in advance. Suddenly someone stoped and helped me on my bike again, than I recieved the next cramp, but I made it on my bike and just rolled down the hill without any movement of my bods. At the foot of the mountain I met my supporters and they asked why I wasn´t already in the finish: Wait, is this a riddle??? The last meters on the home straight were like a torture to me, I looked like shit on the pictures, I just prayed to god, that I won´t crash on the last meteres....Yes, I made it and Bütti, Pitjes and the rest of the lot were already there and waited for me... I don´t know yet, how I made it to our flat, or up the stairs or how i got into the shower, I felt like I was partly paralyzed.. I was really excited about the result, I think I´m on the right way with my exercise. I won my first Ultra distance again since I was that ill in 2005. Thank you, you are a wonderful team in Plettenberg, stay like that. Pit do you have acrystall ball? Winner ceremony had to be in the Bad Pirate jersey...of course... Beckon, beckon Stede....and of course all Piratesin and of Plettenberg, until next year….it was really nice being here 1st place overall and age-group 25 min faster than in 2011 4th place mountain sprint 59th to cross the finish overall from all 200 participants lost 4 minutes while lying around in the dirt   I think there´s still some place and my dear doc´s: Yes, I can... ...I`ll keep on kicking asses!" :P Before I forget it, thank you all sponsors of out team: FELT, CONTI, TIPTOP, UVEX, CONNEX, SQ-LAB adn VELO-TOTAL.
